Clarissa Shen is the Chief Operating Officer of Udacity. She joined as Udacity’s first business hire leading all business functions in 2012. Prior to Udacity, she co-founded a K-12 start-up, led digital change at Apollo Group, and advised Fortune 500 and government clients throughout Greater China, Asia, and Europe as a management consultant with Deloitte/Monitor Group.

Clarissa has also managed a Google Top 10 digital marketing team, and led an internationally-renowned touring contemporary dance company. She is a firm believer in education as a fuel for social mobility.

Farhad Farahbakhshian grew up in New Zealand and moved to Oregon to study Electrical Engineering at OSU (BS & MS). Farhad spent six years working at Maxim Integrated, where he worked his way up from electrical engineer to become a director of marketing and business management. During his time at Maxim, Farhad stayed dedicated to his life long passion for health and fitness. He worked as a certified spin instructor and competed in 100-mile cycle races. Farhad left the corporate world in order to combine his love for fitness and technology to found Naked Labs.
