Witold J. Henisz is the Deloitte & Touche Professor of Management in Honor of Russell E. Palmer, former Managing Partner at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. His research examines the impact of political hazards on international investment strategy including efforts by multinational corporations to engage in corporate diplomacy to win the hearts and minds of external stakeholders. His research has been published in top-ranked journals in international business, management, international studies and sociology and he is the author of the book “Corporate Diplomacy: Building Reputations and Relationships with External Stakeholders”. Witold has won multiple teaching awards at the graduate and undergraduate levels and also teaches extensively on the topic of Corporate Diplomacy in open enrollment and custom executive education programs. He served as the academic co-Director in the development of the stakeholder engagement KEROVKA crisis management simulation. He has authored cases highlighting best practices in integrated project management on Karachi Electric (Pakistan), the Minas-Rio mine (Brazil), Choppies (Botswana), Newmont Ahafo Gold Corporation (Ghana), Gabriel Resources (Romania),Thai Petrochemical Corporation (Thailand) and AES-Telasi (Georgia) that highlight the importance of simultaneously managing above ground (i.e., stakeholder and corporate affairs) risks together with their more traditional financial and operational counterparts. He is currently a principal in the political risk management consultancy PRIMA LLC whose recent clients include AngloGold Ashanti, Rio Tinto, Lockheed Martin, Shell Corporation, Dundee Precious Metals, Maritime Financial Group, The World Bank, The Inter-American Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation.

Michael Carmody is a Principal Consultant with enVista specializing in transportation operations and system implementations. Michael’s responsibilities at enVista include transportation operations design, transportation system configuration, project management, system integration design, application testing, training, and cutover/go-live support.  Michael has led clients to Go Live and beyond in the MercuryGate products for over 5 years in the USA and Mexico. Responsibilities include integration with upstream and downstream systems relative to Transportation Management applications, including Order Entry, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management Systems.

Prior to enVista Michael led cloud TMS implementations for MercuryGate clients that include several Fortune 1000 companies including FEMSA Logistica, School Specialty, Transplace, Bedrock Logistics and Mercer Logistics.  Michael also setup channel partnership programs and designed automated factoring procedures as Vice President of Innovation at eCapital, a leading factoring processing over $1B annually.

Michael has over 20 years of supply chain solution design experience and is strong in several commercially available TMS systems including MercuryGate, JDA and uShip. Michael graduated from The Ohio State University in with a Masters in Geography with a focus on optimizing logistic networks.

Marjo is an inclusive finance banking specialist with more than 10 years of experience in banking and social investment. She is currently the Private Sector Digital Innovation Lead for the Better Than Cash Alliance at UNCDF. Marjo leads the Alliance’s global partnerships and in-country strategy with companies. She works with local and global corporations to develop innovative digital payment solutions and inclusive supply chain structures to reach unbanked smallholder farmers, workers, suppliers and distributors.

Marjo was previously Vice-President in Citi Inclusive Finance team, Citibank’s global business unit for inclusive and social investment finance, where she originated $80 million local currency debt financing for financial institutions in Latin America and Africa reaching more than 40,000 micro-entrepreneurs.

She holds a Master of Corporate Finance and Strategy from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris) and is trilingual in English, French and Spanish. Prior to joining Citibank, she worked for a microfinance institution in South India, Ujjivan, in their finance and marketing departments.
