Zafar Brooks is the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion for Hyundai Motor America. He is also Executive Director of Hyundai Hope On Wheels, Hyundai’s non-profit organization to helps kids fight cancer. At Hyundai, Brooks leads the company’s diversity efforts to support a culture of inclusion and equality. He runs the company’s corporate social responsibility program to create better communities through philanthropic activities. Brooks leads strategic direction and grant program for Hyundai Hope On Wheels. Under his leadership, the program has donated over $130 million to fund research for pediatric cancer.

Brooks is a veteran automotive executive, who has held executive level positions at Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen of America. He has received awards and recognition from prestigious organizations such as PRNews, Langston Bar Association, NCLR, The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, Diversity Inc., NAACP, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Rainbow PUSH, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, TELACU, Ajamu Group, Urban Wheel Awards, and the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers. He serves on numbers boards and advisory councils supporting issues on diversity, education and economic empowerment.

He is a frequent guest speaker and has published articles on the topics of CSR and diversity, and on the importance of pediatric cancer research. Brooks holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fisk University and Master’s Degree from Webster University, as well as certificates from the University of California at Irvine; Duke University, The Center for Creative Learning, and the Ford Marketing Institute.

Ami Dalal leads FINCA Ventures, an impact investing platform that provides patient capital and pre- and post-investment support to help early-stage social enterprises achieve growth and scale. FINCA Ventures aims to support the growth of social enterprises that improve people’s access to critical goods and services beyond access to finance. Ami is a seasoned investor with more than 15 years of principal investing experience in a range of sectors including impact investing, consumer products, infrastructure and real estate. Most recently, she was strategic adviser to Ashoka’s Social Finance Services initiative, leading a search in innovative financial mechanisms to accelerate financing for social impact. Prior to Ashoka, Ami oversaw global post-investment management at the Acumen Fund. Prior to Acumen, Ami worked at Macquarie Capital and began her career at The JBG Companies.
