Will Storr is an award-winning journalist and novelist. His work has appeared in titles such as The Guardian Weekend, The Sunday Times Magazine and Esquire. He is the author of four critically acclaimed books and teaches popular journalism and storytelling classes in London, at Guardian Masterclasses and The Faber Academy.

He’s ghostwritten top ten bestselling books for public figures, including two number ones*. He’s been invited to present his ‘Science of Storytelling’ workshop all over the world, from Bangkok to Istanbul to the European Parliament.

He has reported from the civil war in South Sudan, the narco ganglands of Guatemala and the remote Aboriginal communities of Australia. The New Statesman has called him a ‘magnificent reporter’ while The Independent has called him a ‘versatile, imaginative, committed long-form journalist… a talented, ambitious writer.’

He’s been named New Journalist of the Year, Feature Writer of the Year and has won a National Press Club award for excellence. His investigation into the kangaroo meat industry won the AFM award for Best Investigative Journalism and he’s been presented with the One World Press award and the Amnesty International award for his work on sexual violence against men. He’s also won the AIB Award for Best Investigative Documentary for his BBC radio series.

Roderick Schrock

Director, Eyebeam


Roderick (Roddy) Schrock is the Director of Eyebeam in New York City, an institution dedicated to supporting art that critically engages with technology. Schrock manages the functional capacities of the organization’s direct artist support and guides its focus on supporting work that aims to realign societal relationships to emergent technologies.

In addition, he has been an active practitioner in digital and sound art, having performed and presented in Japan, Europe, South America, and throughout the United States. He received an MFA from Mills College and completed the non-profit management program at Harvard University. His essays have been published by MIT Press, and he writes regularly for online publications, such as Hyperallergic and Huffington Post. He has previously written for New Music Box, Fucking Good Art, and e/i Magazine. As a sound artist, Schrock has been commissioned by Meet the Composer, the American Music Center, The Netherlands America Foundation, and Ostrava New Music Days, among others.

He teaches in the Curatorial Practice MA Program at the School of Visual Arts and  has taught at the Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music (STEIM) (Amsterdam), California College of the Arts, and New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. He sits on the Netherlands America Foundation Cultural Committee and is on the advisory board of curatious.com. He makes Brooklyn home where he lives with his partner, the writer Joon Oluchi Lee, and their rescue dog.
