Claire McTaggart

CEO, Founder, SquarePeg

More

Claire McTaggart is the founder and CEO of SquarePeg. SquarePeg is a new hiring marketplace that matches business professionals to jobs based on fit, not just resumes. SquarePeg measures hundreds of indicators of fit for both companies and job seekers, and uses the data to recommend and connect top matches.

Claire launched SquarePeg last year, after seeing the amount of guesswork and search involving hiring. She partnered up with a leading Industrial Organizational psychologist and assessment expert Dr. Scott Highhouse, and a team of software engineers and data scientists to build a more personalized hiring recommendation system.

Previously, Claire was a manager at the management consulting firm Monitor Deloitte, where she worked in the strategy practice, and also helped the firm with hiring and recruitment. She has also herself been a career switcher, working in policy. business, and tech both in the US and in emerging markets.

SquarePeg is headquartered in NYC.

More

I’m passionate about building companies, growing great teams, and having my work change the world for the better. I’ve had a diverse mix of experiences, but I’m an operator and problem solver at heart. I studied math and computer science in college. Started my first company when I was 19, which I sold when I was 21. I’ve worked as an entrepreneur, management consultant, start-up utility player, global sales and analytics leader, and now as a product manager.

I believe that all great technology leaders must understand how amazing products are envisioned and built, and so I have recently embarked on a “tour of duty” in Product Management at LinkedIn.
