Serge Saxonov co-founded 10x Genomics in 2012 and has served as the CEO since its inception. He has defined the company’s vision and strategy, contributed to core inventions, and led 10x through multiple phases of rapid growth. In 2016, he was honored as one of Goldman Sachs 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of the Year. Prior to 10x Genomics, Serge was Vice President of Applications at QuantaLife, where he was responsible for building content, driving new applications, and identifying key diagnostics opportunities for the core ddPCR technology. Before QuantaLife, Serge was the first employee at 23andme. As Founding Architect and Director of R&D, he defined the initial conception of the product, recruited a lot of the earlier team and built many key elements of the technology. Serge received a Ph.D. in biomedical informatics from Stanford University and an A.B. in applied mathematics and biology from Harvard College.

Phil Valtairo is co-founder and CEO of Fuelster, a Los Angeles-based company that provides on-demand mobile fuel delivery services to corporate clients and individual customers. Fuelster set a goal of building innovation into the retail gas industry and developed a service that enables drivers to order fuel for delivery directly to their vehicles. Since launching its mobile fuel delivery services in early 2017, Fuelster has experienced rapid growth and generated exceptional results. Fuelster has set its sights on further innovation to include mobile electric charging on its delivery platform.

Phil grew up learning about the oil industry from his father, an engineer who worked at the Texaco refinery in Wilmington, California for over 25 years. Phil leads Fuelster’s vision, strategy and growth, including the formation of new strategic partnerships that provide remarkable growth opportunities for Fuelster, the on-going development of Fuelster’s advanced technologies, and the strategic expansion of Fuelster’s operations.

Prior to Fuelster, Phil served in various senior-level roles for several companies in the financial services and real estate industries, including SVP at Prospect Mortgage, VP-Controller at LPL Financial, and Group Controller at The Macerich Company. Phil began his career at Deloitte, serving financial services and real estate clients.

Phil, a certified public accountant, holds a BS in Accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alan Frost is the Founder and CEO of FlavaNaturals, a company that is changing the way people think about and consume chocolate. Alan combines more than 20 years of experience in the biotech industry with a commitment to healthy living and a love of chocolate.

Alan has a strong track record of launching successful brands, achieving business objectives and creating shareholder value for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Alan was most recently SVP of Commercial and Head of the TYSABRI Franchise at Elan Pharmaceuticals. Alan holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the University of Delaware.
