More

Kurt Seidensticker is the Founder & CEO of Vital Proteins. As a long distance runner, he realized that it is important to have a diet that helps maintain the body. He found that collagen is important for nourishment of the body. Vital Proteins helps people feel better and live fuller lives through sustainably-sourced nutrition products, promoting health, fitness and natural beauty. Abhi Ramesh

Founder and CEO, Misfits Market

More

A veteran of the startup world with a longtime interest in health and education, Ramesh leads every aspect of Misfits Market’s operations from finance to logistics. His experience scaling useful consumer goods and services has allowed Misfits Market to create a more sustainable model that lowers barriers to access and creates fewer inefficiencies in the food supply chain.

After graduating from of University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School of Business, Ramesh joined Apollo Global Management in New York City as a private equity investor. His focus on the firm’s middle market technology investing platform exposed him to a variety of sectors, including education and food supply and the inefficiencies that plagued both.

Seeing a need for a platform that bridged the gap between a traditional college education and the real world of technology, Ramesh launched the Horizons School of Technology. This social entrepreneurship endeavor made higher education more accessible to people with non-traditional backgrounds. Ramesh and his co-founder built the school from scratch, creating the software engineering curriculum that’s still in use today.

Following Horizons’ success, Ramesh called back to the inefficiencies he witnessed in the transportation and the food supply systems and researched real-world solutions. He conducted a deep dive into farm-level waste and the complexity of the food supply chain and developed the Misfits Market model. The company launched its Pennsylvania delivery business in September 2018, expanding to Delaware and New Jersey within one month. Today, he leads the growing Misfits Market team out of its Greater Philadelphia-based headquarters.

Founder and CEO, Sabah

More

In 2013, Mickey Ashmore created a magical pair of leather shoes with a family of craftsmen in southeast Turkey. He called them Sabahs, an original shoe based on a traditional shoemaking method. Celebrated for their quality, comfort and unique look, Sabahs are still entirely handmade by that same family and we now travel the world selling them, one pair at a time. Pervious to Sabah, Mickey worked in Finance and Strategy at Microsoft. He graduated from The Wharton School in 2009.
