Having initially qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales, Ms. Gansallo is also admitted as an attorney with the New York Bar. She has been working on Immigration and Nationality issues exclusively with non-profit organizations both here and in the U.K. for over twenty five years. She is currently the Senior Staff Attorney with HIAS PA. Ms. Gansallo joined the organization in 1998 following completion of her LLM at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and now focuses her practice on complex litigation before the U.S. Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In addition, she provides mentorship and training on immigration issues to pro bono attorneys and community groups.

Ms. Gansallo has been an Adjunct Professor with the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Transnational Legal Clinic since the 2010 academic year and is the co-author of Understanding Immigration Law and Practice, a textbook and practice guide for paralegal and law students, and newer practitioners, on the complexities of immigration law. She is a frequent presenter at CLE courses held by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, or AILA.

Ms. Gansallo is Secretary of the Philadelphia Chapter of AILA and sits on the Executive Office for Immigration Review Pro Bono Liaison Committee. She is also a member of the Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs. Ms. Gansallo is a recipient of the AILA Philadelphia Chapter Matthew Baxter Mentorship Award, co-recipient of the AILA Philadelphia Chapter 2017 Pro Bono Champion Award, a recipient of SEAMAAC’s Unsung Heroine Award for 2017, the Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award for 2017 and has been nominated to receive the Global Woman Award later this year from the Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation

Dale Russakoff

Reporter, The Washington Post


Dale Russakoff spent twenty-eight years as a reporter for the Washington Post, covering politics, education, social policy, and other topics. From 1994 to 2008, she served in the Post’s New York Bureau, which included covering the NYC metropolitan area, including Newark, New Jersey.

Dale grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and credits her parents with encouraging her to question the politics of the world around her, particularly the racial segregation and inequity in her own hometown. She dedicated her book to their memory, as that encouragement led her to a lifelong career in investigating and reporting social issues.

The Prize, serialized in The New Yorker, is her first book. She lives in Montclair, New Jersey, with her husband Matthew Purdy, an editor at The New York Times. They have two grown sons.

Kyle Nel

CEO, Uncommon Partners


Kyle Nel is the CEO and co-founder of Uncommon Partners, a transformation company. His passion for changing human behavior led him to create the multi-disciplinary behavioral transformation approach, which uses tools like narrative and applied neuroscience to help organizations break out of incrementalism. He is a co-author of Leading Transformation, a Fall 2018 title from Harvard Business Review Press that details the tools and concepts behind behavioral transformation.

Kyle also founded and previously served as Executive Director for Lowe’s Innovation Labs (LIL), the disruptive innovation hub for the Fortune 40 home improvement company. He created and led a team responsible for driving the company’s innovation vision, strategy and growth.

Under his leadership, Lowe’s Innovation Labs built a proprietary 3D content creation and asset management platform; augmented and virtual reality stores; virtual reality DIY skills clinics; the first autonomous retail service robots; soft robotic exosuits to deliver lift assistance for store employees; and 3D scanning and printing services at retail – and in space, where the first commercially-manufactured object off of the planet was a Lowe’s wrench that was modified for astronauts. He also built a disruptive technology lab and incubator in Bangalore, India.

Kyle sits on the boards of emerging tech companies and is a faculty member focused on corporate innovation at Singularity University. He is also a former member of the XPRIZE Foundation Innovation Board. He was recognized on the 2015 Advertising Age “40 under 40” list, and received the 2016 “People Shaping Retail’s Future” award from the National Retail Federation. He was also a founding member of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (R)Tech Advisory Council.

He previously held positions in market research with Lowe’s and the Walmart Global Insights Group. He holds an MBA from the AC Nielsen Center for Marketing Research at the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
