Tyler Suiters brings 20 years of media and public engagement experience to the Consumer Technology Association, where he serves as Vice President of Communications. His team helps represent the voice of the consumer technology industry on legislative and regulatory affairs, market and product research and executive thought leadership. Additionally, Tyler’s team is integral to the production and promotion of CES, engaging 175,000 attendees and 6,500 media.
Before joining CTA, Tyler was Vice President for International Affairs at Edelman, where he developed strategies and programs for companies around the world including Experian North America and United Technologies. He also delivered training sessions and executed crisis communications for clients, and worked in Abu Dhabi as a consultant for the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prior to that, Tyler served as Chief Correspondent at energyNOW!, a national TV show on Bloomberg focusing on energy and environmental issues, where his assignments took him to countries including China, Iceland and South Africa. More recently, he was a freelance correspondent for CBS Newspath in Washington reporting on politics and policy. Tyler also covered legislative and regulatory issues in Washington, and served as an anchor and reporter for ABC and NBC stations across the US.
Tyler has moderated international and domestic forums for groups such as the UN Foundation and Nissan Motors, and served as an expert panelist for the Electric Power Research Institute, Public Affairs Council and Al Jazeera English. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Oklahoma, Marymount University and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
