Shachar Orren is Chief Storyteller at Disney-backed storytelling platform, Playbuzz. In this role, she oversees the company’s global marketing and communications, as well as creative strategy for publisher and brand partners. Prior to joining Playbuzz as the sixth employee, Shachar spent nine years as a journalist at Israel’s largest daily newspapers. This enabled her to transition well to a digital disruptor focused on creating technologies to solve the media’s pain points – such as how to capture fleeting attention spans and boost audience engagement. Shachar has been covered and published in Forbes, Fox News and Adweek, and enjoys guest-lecturing at top-tier journalism universities in her free time on the future of the newsroom, how digital storytelling is impacting our society, and the importance of content that creates a dialogue with your audience.

Caleb Warren

Caleb Warren studies what makes consumers tick. His work  predominantly investigates consumer responses to behaviors that part from the norm. Although people often respond negatively to abnormal behaviors, Warren looks at two potential positive responses: “that’s funny” and “that’s cool.” His other research explores how brands acquire symbolic meaning and how consumers pursue both immediate and long-term goals. Warren has presented and published his work in influential academic journals and conferences in marketing, psychology, and humor studies. He earned his PhD at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and has worked as research faculty at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), Texas A&M University, and the University of Arizona.

Ryan Millman is the co-founder and CEO of UnDigital, the first package insert marketplace, which provides advertisers with access to a growing inventory of more than 500 million monthly packages for insert ads. Leading retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Urban Outfitters, Lands’ End and Rue La La leverage the platform to turn their packages into a profit while connecting consumers with relevant promotions.

Ryan started his first company out of the library at the University of Arizona in 1999 with a $5,000 investment. That venture progressed into Millman Multimedia, a $50 million parent company that now owns and operates five businesses, including UnDigital and Nations Photo Lab, with facilities in Maryland, Texas and California and more than 350 employees.
