Beth Comstock is a change-maker who has helped companies, big and small, grapple with rapid-fire change and open up to transformation. She is currently navigating forward as an author, instigator, and connector.

She was formerly vice chair of GE. Over nearly two decades at GE, she led efforts to accelerate new growth and innovation. Comstock initiated GE’s digital and clean-energy transformations, developed new businesses, increased GE’s brand value, and partnered to enhance its inventive culture. She led the creation of Current, an intelligent environments business, GE Ventures & Licensing, FastWorks, ecomagination and healthymagination, and oversaw GE Lighting. She was responsible for the sales, marketing, and communications functions, and was the company’s first chief marketing officer in twenty years.

As president of Integrated Media at NBC Universal, Comstock oversaw ad revenue and the company’s digital efforts, including the early development of hulu.com. She held a succession of marketing and communications roles at GE, NBC, CBS, and Turner Broadcasting/CNN.

Comstock is a director at Nike and trustee of the National Geographic Society. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in biology.

Mir Imran

Chairman & CEO, Rani Therapeutics


Mir Imran is a prolific healthcare innovator and entrepreneur who has been developing and commercializing breakthrough medical innovations for more than 30 years. Since 1995, Mir’s innovations, including Rani Therapeutics, have been developed at his life science R&D lab and incubator, InCube Labs. As an entrepreneur, Mir has founded more than 20 life sciences companies; 15 of his companies have seen “liquidity events” (IPO/Acquisition). Mir now holds more than 300 issued patents and is perhaps most well-known for his pioneering contributions to the first FDA-approved Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. In addition to leading Rani Therapeutics and InCube Labs, Mir also runs a life sciences venture fund, InCube Ventures; VentureHealth, a healthcare crowd funding portal; and Modulus, a medical manufacturing company. Mir has received a number of industry accolades for his work including being named one of the “Top 50 Medical Device Inventors of All Time” by QMed and recognized as a National Academy of Inventors (NAI) fellow in 2015. He holds an M.S. in bioengineering and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Rutgers. Mir also attended CMDNJ/Rutgers Medical School.
