More

Pam Morris has more than 40 years of experience in managed health care and the public sector. As an entrepreneurial architect, she pioneered Ohio’s first mandatory Medicaid managed care program and built Dayton Area Health Plan, funded with a half-million dollar grant from the State of Ohio and 38 employees (1989), to present-day CareSource with a 2017 revenue of $8.9 billion, over 4,000 employees and responsibility for more than 2 million members in five states.

Pam has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to improving the health and well-being of CareSource members. She was named the 2007 National Entrepreneur of the Year, Healthcare Services by Ernst & Young. Additionally, Pam won the 2014 Maureen Patterson Regional Leader Award from the Dayton Development Coalition and was honored with a Women of Influence Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dayton YWCA in 2018. Upon announcing her retirement from CareSource, Dayton’s mayor awarded her the key to the city for being a long-time champion of Downtown Dayton.

Her dual passion for both innovation and the mission fueled CareSource to develop industry-leading efforts in addressing social determinants of health, combatting the opioid epidemic and serving the underserved criminal justice population. These advancements have garnered a number of industry awards and grants.

Pam is a past board member of Dayton Power & Light, Inc., a publicly traded electric utility company, and former Chair of the Hospice of Dayton and The United Way of Greater Dayton Area Board of Directors. She recently served as a board member for America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).  She currently serves as a board member for the CareSource Foundation.
