John Albino has been involved with all aspects of pre-development planning, marketing, and sales for numerous premium residential developments around the world. Harnessing his passion for design and architecture and a strong business acumen honed during prior work as a real estate analyst, he creates a powerful and distinctive product, brand, and sales strategy for each property with which he is involved—in service of accelerating both value and absorption. Diligence, tenacity, and attention to the finest detail are his hallmarks.
Prior to joining Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, John was Executive Vice-President for Global Marketing and Sales for Domineum—the global real estate solutions firm founded by renowned real estate marketers Louise M. Sunshine and Richard Pandiscio. While at Domineum, John was instrumental in managing the company’s Capital Group account—overseeing strategy and marketing programs for the most high-profile projects within the Russian developer’s multi-billion dollar development pipeline. John also spearheaded such key accounts as Dellis Cay and Amanyara in Turks & Caicos and The Residences Island Gardens in Miami and was actively involved in repositioning work for Vornado Realty Trust projects in Pasadena,CA and Boston, MA.
John began his real estate marketing and sales career at The Sunshine Group, Ltd., the boutique luxury residential development marketing and sales firm founded by industry icon Louise M.Sunshine, where he ultimately rose to the position of Managing Director. During his tenure with The Sunshine Group, Ltd., which later by merger became Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, John was involved with such high-profile New York City properties as 165 Charles Street by architect Richard Meier; 50 Gramercy Park North by architect John Pawson and 40 Bond by architects Herzog & de Meuron, both developed by Ian Schrager; André Balazs’ 40 Mercer Residences by architect Jean Nouvel; One Jackson Square by architect William Pedersen of Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Hines; 166 Perry Street by Asymptote Architects; Soho Mews by Gwathmey Siegel; 101 Warren Street by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill; The Urban Glass House by architects Philip Johnson and Annabelle Selldorf; 170 East End Avenue by Architect Peter Marino; and Downtown by Philippe Starck.
In 2011, John brought his talents to Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, where he has spearheaded the marketing and sales strategies for some of the most significant luxury new developments to enter the market, including 150 Charles, which enjoyed record success, and 10 Madison Square West, both developed by Witkoff; 111 Murray Street developed by a partnership of Fisher Brothers, Witkoff and New Valley; 550 Madison, the Philip Johnson-designed landmark; Gramercy Square, and 135 West 52nd Street, all developed by Chetrit Group and Clipper Equity; 36 Bleecker by architect Morris Adjmi; 215 Sullivan by architect Ed Rawlings with landscape architecture by Edmund Hollander; and VE Equities’ 11 North Moore and 290 West, both designed by Adjmi & Andreoli.
John has managed global property marketing outreach in locales such as London, Dublin, and Shanghai and at such major international events as Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach.
