Ara Oghoorian CFA, CFP, CPA

Ara founded ACap Asset Management in 2009 and has over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career at Wells Fargo Bank in Huntington Beach when he was only 18 years old. During his nine years at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Ara traveled extensively examining domestic and foreign banks as well as bank holding companies. In his two years contracting with the U.S. Department of the Treasury as an advisor to the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Republic of Armenia, Ara simultaneously conducted work in the Republic of Georgia and the Republic of Latvia creating audit systems and procedures. It has always been his dream to start a business, so after a time at a Washington DC area wealth management firm, Ara moved back to Los Angeles to start ACap Asset Management, now considered a premier wealth management and accountancy firm.

Christopher P. Van Slyke has been active in the financial communities of San Diego, California & Austin, Texas since 1992, when he began his career in financial services at Trust Company of the West (TCW) in Los Angeles. Since 1996, he has been an independent wealth manager and entrepreneur. He is a past member of the board of directors of The Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Austin, San Diego and Los Angeles, as well as the western region board of directors for the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and he currently serves as an incoming board member for the Austin Financial Planning Association.

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Christopher also holds a BA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
