Erin Kleinberg is one of the co-founders of Métier Creative. She is a creative director, content creator and social media strategist.
Erin Kleinberg honed her skills with the fashion industry’s best. Erin honed her skills in NYC assisting W Magazine’s Fashion Director, Alex White. By styling photoshoots with George Clooney and Keira Knightley and working exclusively on major ad campaigns for Céline, Oscar de la Renta and CHANEL.
Shortly after returning home to Toronto at the tender age of 20, Kleinberg paved her own pathway to success by entering the contemporary design market, owning and operating her eponymous womenswear line, erinkleinberg. Her buzzed-about lookbooks (featuring Harley Viera- Newton, Irina Lazareanu, Annabelle Dexter Jones, Vanessa Traina and Theodora Richards) targeted the uptown/downtown girl Kleinberg channelled each season. Her first collection was sold in over 80 stores worldwide and debuted at retailers ranging from Saks Fifth Avenue, Lane Crawford, Neiman Marcus, Holt Renfrew and Harvey Nichols, with Barneys New York being the exclusive vendor to pick up her first season. Her namesake collection quickly gained popularity with Lena Dunham, Jared Leto, Shay Mitchell, Drew Barrymore and more. Kleinberg designed, produced and manufactured in Toronto before putting her successful line on hold to launch, The Coveteur in 2011.
As the President and Co-Founder of The Coveteur, Kleinberg oversaw all creative and art direction, brand development, strategic business relations and editorial executions. Inspired by The Social Network, the idea came to Kleinberg over brunch to go inside the homes and closets of today’s tastemakers. She saw a void in the industry and wanted to deconstruct the idea of streetstyle and take it one step further behind-the-scenes and inside the closet of our generation’s most influential people. The cult website gained a mass following and quickly evolved from a passion project to a lucrative business, which Kleinberg guided the growth of, including raising funding, scaling and expanding the creative vision.
In 2014, Kleinberg re-launched her line, erinkleinberg, as inspired by her personal quest for the perfect range of elevated, everyday pieces. After exploring the closets of a few hundred of today’s tastemakers, she felt that she had gained a better understanding about what women actually want to wear.
Her evolution into the ad world stemmed from ongoing conversations with Brockman surrounding the disconnected landscape between brands and tastemakers. Both Kleinberg and Brockman felt that there was no pre-existing ad agency who could address the needs of both sides of the equation and mediate successfully. Métier Creative was born out of filling a void in the creative advertising industry, specially with social media, to create disruptive, share-worthy content that properly illustrates a brand’s messaging while using effective media partners or influencers as qualified distribution methods to ensure success.
