Professor Ormond is a genetic counselor and clinical medical ethicist. A professor of genetics and the co-director of Stanford’s genetic counseling training program, she does bioethics research on the ethical implications and clinical incorportation of emerging genetic technologies, and was the lead author on the ASHG 2017 statement on germline genome editing.
