Khartoon Weiss is a Marketing Executive with expertise in building and scaling established and emerging organizations. At Spotify, Khartoon is the Global Head of Verticals, charged with establishing a vision and creating strategic partnerships with the world’s most recognizable brands. She has a tremendous track record in the media industry, leading creative and media agencies as well as media platforms for 18+ years. Her diverse experience allows her to approach business holistically and create outcomes for today’s data-driven driven marketplace. She has been recognized by the industry at large as AdAge’s elite “40 Under 40” and AdWeek’s “Top 50 list 2015.

Khartoon served as Chief Marketing and Chief Client Officer at Media Assembly, MDC Partners’ media agency, where she was instrumental in growing the agency by $1+ billion in billings. Prior to MDC Partners, Khartoon was a relentless force in shaping and leading MediaCom North America. As Managing Director and Chief Growth Officer, Khartoon led the company’s exponential $1.2 billion growth in less than 24 months, crediting that success to inspiring transformative go-to- market strategies for clients like Anheuser-Busch InBev, eBay, Mars Inc., and more. She helped the agency secure “Agency of the Year” honors from both AdAge and AdWeek in 2015; a rare double victory.

Khartoon’s roots in the advertising industry lay in account management at Grey Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather. She eventually joined BBDO where she came of age in business development. She led winning North American and global pitches that led to over $3.5 billion in billings during her six year tenure. BBDO was and continues to be the Agency and Network of the Year as ranked by The Gunn Report, AdAge, AdWeek, Campaign and the Cannes Lions Festival.

In between Creative and Media agency roles, Khartoon deepened her skill set at iHeartMedia where she worked to transform an inherent radio company into a media and entertainment platform, working with blue chip clients like American Express, AB InBev, PepsiCo, MasterCard, and Macy’s amongst others.

Khartoon sits on the board of the Director’s Council for the VCU Brand Center, is an active member and advocate of Women, Diversity and Inclusion, and is a mentor to young professionals within her field. She completed a degree in executive education from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania in 2017, and graduated from the University of Rochester with degrees in Psychology and Marketing. When not competing either at work or in triathlon and marathons, Khartoon lives in NYC with her husband and two rescued cats.
