The Process is a live, quarterly call-in show hosted by Eric Furda, Dean of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania. High school students, parents and educators can gain insight into all aspects of the college search—the discovery and application process, the evaluation process, and the enrollment process. Dean Furda’s own knowledge and opinions will be further informed by various experts on topics relevant to each stage of The Process and strengthened by the participation of listeners. Mr. Eric J. FurdaMr. Eric J. Furda

Eric Furda, a 1987 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, was appointed Dean of Admissions at his alma mater on July 1, 2008. Previously, he served as vice president for alumni relations and executive director of undergraduate admissions at Columbia University. Over his career, Furda has served on many committees for the Ivy League and has served on the Board of Directors for The Common Application, currently as past-chair of the board. Furda is a frequent blogger for The Huffington Post and provides college advice on his blog and on Twitter @deanfurda.

Dean Furda began his career in admissions at Penn, as regional director from 1987 to 1991. He has a BA in International Relations from Penn, and an MA in Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University. While an undergraduate, he was a four-year letter winner on the varsity lightweight football team. Furda recently received the A. Philip Randolph Award for Diversity and Inclusion from student leadership at Penn.
